THE continuation of a Met Office Amber weather warning will mean Scots face a third day of travel problems.

Train passengers will see cancellations and delays continue into tomorrow (Friday) with the warning is in place until 10am.

ScotRail provided a very limited number of services today within affected areas, withdrawing all of them at 7pm.

Some services outwith the Amber warning areas will continue to operate later this evening.

Final train times

  • 1946 Aberdeen – Dundee
  • 2044 Dundee – Aberdeen
  • 2101 Perth – Inverness
  • 2015 Inverness – Perth

Advice is still NOT to travel until the warning has expired, which means services will be disrupted tomorrow morning.

ScotRail says there will not be any services in the affected areas during the morning peak as lines need to be tested to check if they are safe.

Trains may return to action later in the day, but they will be subject to delays.
