A university has launched the first study into possible links between Covid-19 and eyesight problems.
Experts want to assess whether the virus can cause problems such as blurred vision.
The subject made headlines when the Prime Minister’s chief adviser Dominic Cummings cited checking his eyesight as the reason he made a 60-mile car journey during lockdown.
The study by researchers at Glasgow Caledonian University was planned before Mr Cummings’ claim.
The research is being rolled out here and countries including China and the US.
