Arbroath 1-0 Albion Rovers

Albion’s best chance early on came when Mark McGuigan’s volley was turned behind by David Crawford.

The Arbroath keeper also held a 35-yard effort from Gary Fisher just before the interval.

Paul McManus finally broke the deadlock in 66 minutes when he slid the ball home.

East Stirling 2-1 Elgin

WITH 23 minutes on the clock, Chris Townsley bulleted in a header.

No 2 for the hosts came when David McKenna robbed Elgin keeper Michael Fraser, who failed to control a Marvin Andrews passback, and walked the second into the net.

Sub Graham Bayne hit a consolation for City late on.

East Fife 2-3 Berwick

Berwick grabbed a deserved lead before the break. Paul Currie wasn’t closed down and he fired an unstoppable 18-yarder past Allan Fleming.

It was soon 2-0 as a seemingly harmless cross was met by Allan Walker’s head and he turned past his own keeper.

The Methil men were given a lifeline when Nathan Austin was tripped inside the Berwick box and Alan Cook stepped up to pull one back from the spot.

East Fife pulled level when Steven Campbell’s 40-yard wind-assisted free-kick sailed in beyond Willie Bald. But David Gold scored Queen’s winner from close in.

Annan 0-1 Queen’s Park

Annan’s Matthew Flynn and Derek Carcary went close early on, and Queen’s first chance came in the 16th minute when Gavin Mitchell saw his shot stopped by goalkeeper Alex Mitchell.

In the 41st minute, Shaun Fraser beat the Annan keeper with a shot which hit the top corner. Annan’s Peter Watson was sent off for a second yellow in the 58th minute.
