An unsigned Edinburgh music duo hope to earn a new legion of fans after one of their songs was featured on the soundtrack of hit reality series The Kardashians.

The track Brand New Day by Leith-based The Eves, made up of Marissa Keltie and Caroline Gilmour, features in episode nine of the second season on Disney Plus.

The featured spot on one of the world’s most streamed shows builds on the initial success of the single, which last year spent five weeks on the BBC Radio 2 playlist.

Gilmour said: “This is a big deal for us.  It’s so exciting to have our music appearing on one of the most-watched streaming series in the world.

“You couldn’t ask for a better platform to be heard.”

Keltie added: “The Kardashians certainly have a huge fan base. To get our music out there across a major platform like Disney really is a dream come true for us and will hopefully lead to more opportunities.”

Having released their debut single Tides in 2018, 2022 has been The Eves’ busiest to date. They opened for Belinda Carlisle at a sold-out Kelvingrove Bandstand in the summer, and have supported fellow Scottish acts Horse and Skerryvore on their tours.

Their single Big Love was also chosen as the official anthem for this year’s Scottish Women’s Football League Season.

Their last headline show of the year is at the Harbour Arts Centre in Irvine on Saturday November 19.
