It takes two, says Strictly star Charles Venn

CHARLES Venn has revealed his wife is loving his Strictly routines.

The actor, who plays Jacob Masters in Casualty, revealed other half Zoe has been helping him practice – and picked up a passion for ballroom herself.

“My wife has been loving every minute of it,” Charles, 45, said. “She’s becoming more in touch with her hips, picking up on the salsa notes.”

Despite Brendan Cole saying a few weeks ago that Charles and dance partner Karen Clifton had “obvious chemistry” – and Karen splitting from fellow dancer Kevin earlier this year after seven years together – Charles said his wife has no concerns.

“My wife is cool with it and her and Karen get on really, really well,” he said.

Last night, Charles and Karen became one of the first couples to perform the “Couples’ Choice”, with a street dance to James Brown’s Get Up Off That Thing.

Charles and Karen are hoping practice will make perfect and they won’t be in the bottom two tonight, after surviving the dance off twice previously.

“It was a bit of a shock, but we just got back on it,” Charles said.
