Attendees at events at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro arena are being asked to vote for their favourite live acts of 2019.

Voting is now open in The SSE Live Awards, following year that saw 79 shows took place at the 13,000 capacity venue, spanning music, comedy, sport and entertainment.

Acts on show in 2019 included Still Game Live, Cher, Gerry Cinnamon, Jack Whitehall, Rita Ora, Little Mix and many more.

This year’s awards will once again feature categories across Best Sporting Event, Best Comedy, Best Live Entertainment, Best Solo Artist, Best Group and Event of the Year.

In last year’s awards, The Script, Jess Glynne, WWE Live and Andre Rieu were crowned winners.

A full list of voting options is available at www.ssereward.com and voting is open until February 3rd 2020.

Anyone can cast their vote, not just SSE customers, and voting is also open for events at The SSE Arena, Wembley.

Colin Banks, Head of Sponsorship & Reward at SSE, said: “SSE is delighted to bring The SSE Live Awards back for the fifth year, following a huge year of shows at both The SSE Hydro and The SSE Arena, Wembley.

“It’s fantastic to see the high calibre of artists and shows gracing the stages of our sponsored venues and we’re sure fans will want to show their appreciation and back their acts with voting now open.”

The SSE Hydro was last month named as the second busiest venue in the world by Pollstar, behind only New York’s Madison Square Garden.

The arena, which opened in 2013, welcomed over one million visitors through its doors between November 2018 and 2019.
