When I was a kid we used to go to America because my father had a restaurant in Los Angeles.

I think Lionel Richie actually came to the opening. It was all so exciting as a child, but I think America has that feeling about it no matter the age.

I was there just recently and I love it as much at 46 as when I first went aged nine.

I’ve been blessed to have had some amazing holidays. Dubai is somewhere we used to go a lot when the boys were young.

I know people say it’s all manmade and doesn’t have a lot of culture, but the hotels are so family-friendly and they make you feel a million dollars.

The boys loved it.

The place we’ve gone to for the last three summers is Mykonos because it’s one of those relaxed places where you don’t feel like you need to dress up.

The restaurants are brilliant and it’s not such a big place that you feel you can’t get around.

We’ve stayed at three very nice hotels – and for very good reason.

I’ve got OCD and my husband knows that if we get a villa all I’ll do 24 hours a day is clean.

If he sticks me in a hotel then I’ll switch off, from cleaning at least.

The problem is that I don’t ever switch off from work. We have a round-the-clock operation and I’m forever checking my emails and touching base with the office.

It was different when it was a smaller operation, but now it has grown I just can’t see it fail.

We have to work hard to make sure it hits the targets so I’m always available.

If there is one big holiday indulgence, it has to be hiring a lovely boat in Saint-Tropez.

It was probably a bit ridiculous but it was for a special birthday and with family and friends it gave me wonderful memories.
