Rewind Festival has unveiled the updated line-up and dates for its 2021 edition after this summer’s event was cancelled.

The 10th anniversary celebration at Scone Palace was postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak, and will instead take place between July 23 and 25 next year.

Most acts that were on the bill for 2020 have been able to make the new datesk but some have had to drop out, including Nick Heyward.

Marc Almond, who has been confirmed for next year’s festival, as well as sister events in Cheshire and Oxfordshire, said: “I’ve played Rewind many times before the experience has always been amazing.

“I really love the passion and excitement of the Rewind audiences.  Get those Pink Flamingos at the ready and see you in 2021!”

Jimmy Somerville, Wet Wet Wet, Billy Ocean and Bananarama are some of the other acts on the bill for the 1980s nostaglia trip.

Festival organisers have said tickets for this year’s event were valid for next summer.

When the original dates were cancelled, they said: “Your tickets, parking, glamping, moorings, VIP, when nature calls, campervans, caravans etc will all be valid for these new dates.

“We are working closely with our ticketing partners and they will be in touch with you very soon by email.

“Please only contact them if you have not been contacted after seven working days as they are very busy at this time.

“We look forward to seeing you all in 2021. For now, stay safe, stay home and look after each other.”
