Pamela and Martin Cummings may be based in Glasgow, but their travels take them all over Scotland.

Under the guise of The Scottish Travel Couple, they search high and low for the best places to visit and stay, sharing with their followers on Instagram and YouTube.

We challenged them with narrowing down their top spots.

Piersland House Hotel

The Piersland House Hotel has been a favourite of ours for many years now. A beautiful country mansion located in Troon, Ayrshire and former home of the Johnnie Walker family.

We have celebrated many family birthdays, special occasions here and the food has always been delicious, with lovely accommodation and friendly staff. If you are looking for somewhere to spend a relaxing retreat or to celebrate a special occasion, the Piersland House hotel is the perfect place to go.

Glencoe

Glencoe is one of our favourite places to visit in Scotland, especially in the winter months. With its breathtaking scenery and dramatic landscape, it is definitely a must see for anyone visiting Scotland.

You will find the wee white house located at the bottom of the incredible Buachaille Etive Mor mountain. It is always a magical sight to see.

The Hermitage

This is the Hermitage, a beautiful forest located near the village of Dunkeld, Perthshire. We love wandering around this magical place with its giant fir trees, amazing Black Linns Falls and enjoying the view from Ossian’s Hall.

The Hermitage is part of the National Trust for Scotland and the perfect place to enjoy a walk in nature.
