Michelle Keegan I’ll miss being ‘pregnant’

Corrie actress talks about the end of her TV baby bump when a shock sends Tina into premature labour.

But Michelle told The Sunday Post that the biggest baby bump shock was for her dad.

“I got so used to wearing the bump that it was a bit weird without it after the birth,” confides the stunning 25-year-old soap star.

“When I first started showing I remember sending a picture of me with the bump and it really freaked him out.

“And I joked around with him, standing in front of a mirror with my hand on my tummy.”

Michelle’s quick to point out, though, that she definitely didn’t send any of the pregnancy snaps to TOWIE boyfriend Mark Wright.

There’s drama upon drama tonight when the baby starts to arrive two months early.

Tina slumps behind the bar at the much-anticipated opening of the newly revamped Rovers Return.

Mikey North’s Gary has previously made a drunken pass at Tina. When she snaps at him about his “dirty little secret”, girlfriend Izzy for whom Tina’s acting as a surrogate overhears.

Minutes after the confrontation, Tina suddenly goes into labour behind the bar.

“I was so nervous about the birth scene,” admitted Michelle.

“When I read the script about the pregnancy in the first place, that’s the one thing I was dreading.

“I did lots of research. I spoke to a lot of mums and I watched One Born Every Minute a LOT!”

The baby’s arrival comes tomorrow and Michelle says: “It was pretty painless for Tina, I only hope mine are as easy.

“You need to dramatise it a bit but it went really well.

“I think we had the whole thing shot in about an hour or two and we only had about six takes.

“It hasn’t put me off babies, I think I’m always going to be broody.

“I love babies but it’s made me think that I’m not ready yet.

“Give it another few years.”

The gorgeous actress, who leaves the ITV soap next year, has won a legion of fans some downright weird since she joined back in 2007.

“When I’d only been here about a year a guy sent an engagement ring and a wedding ring in.

“He said he wanted me to wear the rings on the show so that everyone would know I was his!

“I wasn’t used to all this. The show had to make sure he got the rings back.

“It really shocked me.”
