A MAN and woman have been arrested in connection with two assaults on a busy roadway.
A 53-year old male and a 62-year old were both charged after an incident on the A720 Edinburgh city bypass, Police Scotland said.
While police are still investigating, the two are expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
Officers are urging anyone who saw the incident, which took place at about 12.45pm on Friday September 4 at the Hermiston Gait exit to come forward.
Police Sergeant Andrew Gibb said: “While we have now arrested and charged a man and woman in connection with this incident, we are still appealing for witnesses.
“This incident occurred when the roadway was busy with other motorists and we are asking anyone who saw this incident occur to contact us immediately.”
