Oliver Rathbone rescued an important point for Rochdale as his late equaliser earned a 1-1 draw at Doncaster.
Jon Taylor put promotion hopefuls Doncaster ahead inside the first minute but Rochdale were much the better side in the opening half.
However, it took the relegation-battling visitors until the final 10 minutes to strike back through Rathbone.
Doncaster took the lead after just 46 seconds. Kieran Sadlier cut inside and clipped a cross to the back post where Taylor brushed it home with his shoulder.
Rochdale enjoyed the better of the play for the remainder of the first period but Sadlier hit the post for Rovers after cutting past Luke Matheson and shooting.
At the other end Paul McShane looped a header onto the crossbar after Doncaster keeper Seny Dieng failed to claim a cross.
In the second half Sadlier stabbed the ball on target after a goalmouth scramble only for Eoghan O’Connell to clear off line.
Rochdale finally find the leveller that had been searching for the 81st minute. Rathbone was given far too much time and space to charge from halfway and lash in a low shot from 25 yards.
