A teenager has been seriously injured in a stabbing in Edinburgh.
The 18-year-old walked into a shop in Gorgie Road with a wound to his leg at around 5pm on Monday.
Police said the incident is believed to have happened in the Westfield Court area.
The teenager was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
Officers are appealing for information about the incident.
Detective Sergeant Rory Legge, of Corstorphine CID, said: “This happened at a busy time of the day and we know there would’ve been a lot of traffic and people in the area.
“I would ask anyone who witnessed this incident or saw any suspicious behaviour around the Westfield Court area just before 5pm on Monday to contact us.”
There is no description of the suspect.
