A 45-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after an attack in Grangemouth.
A 47-year-old man was injured on a footpath on Kingsear Avenue near Bowhouse road on Thursday, April 9 at 1.15pm.
The victim was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with serious injuries.
The 45-year-old man is expected to appear at Stirling Sheriff Court on Saturday April 11 in connection with the attack.
Detective Inspector Rob Andrews, of Stirling CID, said: “Inquiries into this remain ongoing and I want to thank the local community for their co-operation so far.
“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity to contact the police as soon as possible. I would also ask anyone with dash-cam footage who was driving in the area at the time to check back to see if they have captured anything that may be of use to us.”
