I made a special exception by attending the Minions movie premier

Many a Minion makes a giggle!

I don’t know why, but I absolutely adore the bright yellow cheeky little Minions who first made their debut in the Despicable Me movies and completely stole the show.

They now have their very own film and I toddled along to the premiere this week.

I don’t normally go to these big events because I am up so early in the morning, but I was happy to make an exception for the Minions.

There was a yellow carpet, not a red one, and lots of mini-minions buzzing around to the delight of all the little kids (and big kids like me).

The film itself is completely silly, but an absolute delight.

The plot doesn’t really matter but there’s some daftness about stealing the Queen’s crown.

Essentially it’s all to do with minions causing complete chaos without really meaning any real harm, and making us all giggle at their antics.

I loved it, even though throughout the whole movie they referred to HM as the Queen of England, leaving out Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Maybe the minions have looked into the future and seen something we don’t her know about?
