A real-life re-creation of the artwork is being marketed as a rental on Airbnb to coincide with the launch of a hotly anticipated exhibition of van Gogh’s work at The Art Institute Of Chicago.
And it’ll cost $10 for a one-night stay, that’s just under £7.

The Airbnb listing is based on van Gogh’s painting of his actual bedroom at the Yellow House in Arles, France. The host is known as “Vincent”.
Writing on Facebook, The Art Institute Of Chicago said: “Want to spend a night in one of the world’s most famous paintings? In celebration of our upcoming exhibition van Gogh’s Bedrooms, we’ve created a replica of the most iconic bedroom in art.”

People who book a stay will have to sign a waiver in advance, while in a section called other things to note “Vincent” explains his relatively cheap pricing policy.
“I’m charging $10 for no other reason than that I need to buy paint. However, I will be happy to provide you with tickets to my exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago.”
Van Gogh created three subtly different versions of The Bedroom during his career. They are usually housed in Amsterdam, Paris and Chicago. The new exhibition brings them all together and examines van Gogh’s difficult relationship with “home”.
Van Gogh’s Bedrooms will run from February 14 to May 10. The Airbnb listing will be available until April, but dates are being added in waves so it doesn’t book up too quickly.
