Delighted Douglas Hogg, 33, was called up on to the stage by the Grammy award winner during her sell out show on Friday.

In front of 13,000 fans Adele told Douglas she’d sign his chest as long as he promised to get it tattooed over and made permanent.

But last night the he revealed he hasn’t been able to because he got so sweaty during the show, the Biro’d moniker faded away.

“I couldn’t believe it when I looked at my chest on the way out and it was near enough gone,” he said. “It sweated off. She only used a ball point pen.”

Douglas was taken up on to the Hydro stage with brother Stephen John, 29, who already has the lyrics to Adele’s hit Someone Like You tattooed on his arm.

They weren’t going to see Adele because it was too expensive for tickets at around £500 a pop, but two hours before the gig they managed to get them for £170 each.

He said: “We are huge fans of Adele. I still can’t believe it. I keep watching the videos.”

Douglas, who hugged Adele three times, added: “She smelled lovely and gives good cuddles.”

He has since contacted the star to ask if she’ll re-sign his chest.

Demand for tickets was so great, some were rumoured to be going for as much as £750 each.

The star arrived by private jet and was believed to have stayed at Mar Hall Hotel in Bishopton.

However, the first of her two shows was marred when a fan was injured by a falling chain which slipped from the production rigging.

Adele, 27, later said on Twitter: “I’m so sorry to hear that someone got hurt at my show tonight. It’s being investigated to ensure it won’t happen again.”

The woman was helped by Good Samaritan Simon Foy, who rushed to her aid. Simon, events manager for Nordoff Robbins Scotland, helped the stricken woman receive medical help after she was injured during Good Friday’s show.

The 43-year-old from Bearsden, Glasgow, said: “The chain came down during Set Fire To The Rain. I saw someone was injured.”

The woman, who appeared to be in her thirties, was bleeding from her head and stewards swiftly evacuated the block as a safety precaution.

Simon added: “A friend had grabbed her and I rushed forward to help her too. It all happened so quickly but the stewards and I managed to walk her across the concourse to the first aid room where she was seen by a doctor on site.”

He continued: “The woman was with her cousin who was quite shaken by it but she was in the best of hands and taken to hospital.

“The staff dealt with things really professionally. I go to the SSE Hydro for loads of gigs and it’s an amazing venue and the show was brilliant.”

The injured woman was taken to hospital “as a precaution”, a spokesman for the venue said.
