West End star Kerry Ellis, River City’s Tom Urie and The Voice singer Saskia Eng to perform in this year’s Glamis Prom

THE first acts for this year’s Glamis Proms have been announced.

Joining The Scottish Pops Orchestra for the concert will be West End star Kerry Ellis, who has starred in Wicked, We Will Rock You, Oliver! and Les Miserables.

Sharing the stage with her will be singer and River City star Tom Urie, as well as The Voice’s Saskia Eng.

The theme of the 2018 show, which takes place on Saturday August 25, is ‘The Great British Songbook’.

The audience will be treated to a medley of home-grown classics form Elgar to Ed Sheeran, Vera Lynn to The Beatles.

Kerry said: “I’m delighted to be joining the Glamis Prom this year, following my 20th anniversary tour.

“I’m honoured to be continually supported by the amazing Scottish crowds, I’m so excited to be performing at this magical event and hope I see lots of you there!”
