With lockdown set to continue until at least the end of February in Scotland, it looks like Valentine’s Day this year will be another celebration to be had at home.
Although typically romantic haunts like fancy restaurants, the cinema and bars will have to be replaced with our living rooms this year, all is not lost, as many of Scotland’s gourmet eateries are offering home-delivered Valentine’s meals.
From Six by Nico to Green Haus, we round up some of the best at-home meal delivery kits and boxes available across Scotland, so you can still celebrate your love in style.
The Loveable Rogue
Loveably Yours – Four courses for two for £80 from The Loveable Rogue, Glasgow.
Kick the meal off with a bottle of bubbly or red wine, freshly baked Sourdough with Olive Tapenade followed by a Mushroom Veloute with Pickled Shimeji and Pecorino & Truffle Croutons.
For main, feast on a fabulous 500g Cote de Boeuf with Gruyere Cheese Potato Gratin, Jerusalem Artichoke, Black Garlic Roast Tenderstem Broccoli, Charcuterie Sauce and crispy Ox Tongue.
Finish it all off with a Choux au Craquelin, Pistachio and Rose.
A vegetarian option for two is also available.

Six by Nico Glasgow and Edinburgh are offering a Valentine’s Day food masterclass, for couples wanting to cook together or for one wanting to cook for the other. Prices from £60 for four portions.
Each Masterclass box contains all the ingredients necessary to make two brand new recipes, both of which are perfectly portioned for two and come complete with half a bottle of wine.
As well as easy-to-follow preparation, cooking and plating instructions, Chef Nico Simeone will be on hand to help with the masterclass, teaching you how to prep, plate, and pair recipes.
Masterclasses offer a local delivery service within a strict five-mile radius of Six by Nico restaurants in Glasgow or Edinburgh or a takeaway/pick up service from their restaurant locations.

Based in Glasgow’s Southside, Kilmurry & Co are offering a sharing set menu for two for £45.
The menu includes a sharing starter, a choice of two main courses, a sharing dessert and a bottle of prosecco.

Chateau-X experience has been revamped with an unusual twist on the dry-aged chateaubriand.
For this limited edition, the team have created a Treacle Cured Chateaubriand which has been marinated for 48 hours.
Chateau-X will be served with two new sides; Colcannon Potatoes and four cheese Macaroni & Cheese with Smoked Bone Marrow Crumb; and finished with a classic Tiramisu for dessert.

Green Haus
Expect the unexpected with Green Haus and enjoy the ultimate Valentines vegan experience. The restaurant are providing eight delicious tasting vegan dishes, designed to be shared. £55 for two including UK national delivery.
Green Haus: Volume 3 will serve up dishes including Orzo Puttanesca with Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Pesto and Cavolo Nero; Okra Pakora with Lime Pickle, Celeriac, Boondi Chaat and Jaggery Goor Dressing; Borracho Beans with Avocado & Mint Crema, Pickled Red Onions and Coriander.
Also on offer will be: Khoresh Bademjan with Chickpeas, Turmeric, Roasted Orange, Almonds and Pomegranate Molasses; Nasi Goreng Cauliflower with Pickled Sumac Carrots, Compressed Cucumber and Toasted Sesame Seeds; Patatas a Lo Podre, with Crispy Onions, Roasted Garlic and Green Pepper Relish; PHO Aromatic Broth with Mint, Basil, Buckwheat Noodles and Chilli Oil.
To finish will be a Vegan Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Icing, Cookie Dough and Roasted 100% Cocoa Nibs.
