QUEEN and Adam Lambert have been named as the final headliners for this year’s TRNSMT festival.

Texas, The Darkness and The Temperance Movement have also been added to the bill at the Glasgow Green event which will be held over two weekends at the end of June and start of July.

Original Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor have been performing with American Idol star Lambert on tour for around six years and their TRNSMT appearance on Friday July 6 will be their only UK show outside of three sold out London concerts this year.

Geoff Ellis, head of organisers DF Concerts, said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce the addition of Queen + Adam Lambert to the TRNSMT line-up as the final headliner across the two weekends.

“As bona fide music legends, Queen + Adam Lambert’s TRNSMT show promises to be a spectacular highlight in Scotland’s music calendar this summer, I’m sure the atmosphere will be electric when they step on stage. ”

The main festival weekend for TRNSMT will occur over three days from June 29 to July 1, with two further shows taking place the following weekend on July 6 and 8.

Stereophonics, Liam Gallagher, Arctic Monkeys and The Killers have already been named as headline performers at the festival.

Around 120,000 music fans attended the inaugural TRNSMT festival in 2017 when Radiohead, Kasabian and Biffy Clyro performed.
