TRNSMT Festival have confirmed they will be returning to Glasgow later this year, after First Minister Nicola Sturgeon’s announcement yesterday.

Unable to take place in 2020, festival organisers have confirmed it’s now full steam ahead as the Scottish Government announced it is expected to lift all legal Covid restrictions by August 9.

Following a year without live music in Scotland, TRNSMT will provide a weekend of performances from September 10-12.

Acts announced so far include Sam Fender, Little Simz, Courteeners, Liam Gallagher and The Chemical Brothers.

Event organisers say they are committed to following government and local council guidance which may be in place at the time of the event to ensure the safety of all festival goers, artists and staff.

Cinch presents TRNSMT said: “Following yesterday’s announcement by the First Minister, cinch presents TRNSMT Festival can’t wait to welcome fans back to the festival in September to experience a weekend of the best live music, food and drink the city has to offer.”
