The line-up for this year’s Summer Nights at Kelvingrove Bandstand has been announced, including the likes of Suzanne Vega, Van Morrison and Primal Scream.

The music festival, which has seen a number of iconic acts take to the stage in the redeveloped bandstand , takes place from July 30 to August 15.

Suzanne Vega plays the opening night, followed by Belinda Carlisle and Rufus Wainwright the following evenings.

Summer Nights regular Van Morrison will take to the stage on August 4, and Yusuf / Cat Stevens will play August 5.

Scots star KT Tunstall headlines on August 6, with Rick Astley and Richard Hawley the following nights.

The final days of the festival have a very Scottish feel to them, with two dates for local favourites Primal Scream on August 11 and 12.

Fife’s King Creosote and the legendary The Jesus & Mary Chain play August 13 and 14 respectively.

Edwyn Collins closes the festival on August 15, with support from Altered Images.
