Scottish football transfer rumours: Rangers reject £7.5m bid for Morelos, Celtic eye double Premiership swoop, Hibs want Scott Allan return

TODAY is the day the transfer window slams shut.

And there’s still plenty of wheeling and dealing to be done before the clock strikes 11pm.

Here are the latest rumours swirling around the transfer vortex this morning.

Rangers have rejected an improved bid for Alfredo Morelos from China, thought to be of around £7.5m.

According to the Daily Record, Beijing Renhe want to secure the Premiership top goalscorer’s services but Dave King is reluctant to sell given the huge impact the 21-year-old has had this season.

Selling now would leave Graeme Murty and director of football Mark Allen scrambling to bolster their attack, while the Chinese transfer window remains open until February.

Celtic are also set for a busy deadline day.

Brendan Rodgers also wants to bring a new goalkeeper in before the deadline with Craig Gordon out injured.

The Daily Record reports that Motherwell have rejected another bid from the Hoops for Trevor Carson, totalling around £375,000.

Scott Bain, Emiliano Martinez and Kieran Westwood are also targets should they fail in their bid to bring the Northern Irishman to Parkhead.

St Johnstone set to complete Manchester United loan signing

Anthony Stokes is on the look-out for a new club after being released by Hibs.

The Easter Road side, meanwhile, are eyeing a deal to bring Scott Allan back to the club.

The Daily Star reports that it would be a permanent deal, dependant on Dundee’s willingness to cut short the midfielder’s loan deal from parent club Celtic.

Hibs would possibly offer Neil McCann’s side Simon Murray in order to make the deal happen.

Aberdeen are interested in Carlisle United striker Sam Cosgrove, according to reports down south.
