MICHAEL O’Neill is set to have talks with SFA chief Stewart Regan later today over the Scotland manager’s job.

The 48-year-old is widely known to be the SFA’s top target, and will meet to discuss a deal which could make the current Northern Ireland boss the highest paid Scotland manager in history. (Daily Mail)

On the domestic front, Emerson Hyndman was linked with a return to Rangers by various sources yesterday.

The Bournemouth midfielder spent the second half of last season on Ibrox, but today the Daily Record reports that the American is unlikely to be heading back for a second spell.

It comes as Hamilton say there are no offers worth considering on the table for any of their stars – including the £300,000 bid from Rangers for Greg Docherty which was rejected earlier this week.

Steven Naismith is expected to complete his loan move to Hearts later today.

The Scotland striker had been linked with a move to former clubs Kilmarnock and Rangers.
