Three top names have been added to this year’s Edinburgh Fringe programme at the Pleasance.

Reginald D Hunter, Sofie Hagen and John Robins have all been announced for shows at the venue as part of the city’s annual comedy festival.

Fringe veteran Reginald returns to the Pleasance Grand with his highly-anticipated new show.

The US comic has been entertaining audiences for over twenty years with his searingly honest material, and is a regular on TV shows including Have I Got News For You? and two series of BBC2’s Reginald D Hunter’s Songs Of The South.

Sofie, 2015 Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer winner, makes her Pleasance debut this year.

Her new show is described as being about memory and swings, ‘specifically for bums’.

Sofie has featured on Live from the BBC and had her own Comedy Central Special and will be appearing at the Pleasance’s Queen Dome.

The third addition to the line-up is Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner, Digital DJ and ‘Vibe-Magnet’ John Robins.

New show Hot Shame taking place at Pleasance One, promises soul-bearing, self-lacerating and piping-hot shame from a stand-up who has gained a reputation for finding humour in our bleakest moments.

With more shows to be announced over the coming months, the venue will showcase comedy, theatre, circus, magic, dance, kids’ shows and much more, alongside support for some of the most innovative newcomers through artist development strand Pleasance Futures.
