A WHITE Christmas was Bing Crosby’s dream, and many across the world received just that.

But it came a day late and became a nightmare for many in the UK with the weather causing traffic chaos.

Snow started to appear in our towns and cities on Boxing Day and the cold spell continues, with temperatures tonight set to dip to around minus 13C in parts of Scotland.

Below are some of the best images from around the UK and slightly further afield as the festive period got a sprinkling of snow – and in some cases a lot more.
