Festival founder Michael Pellegrotti has had a busy weekend bringing The Reeling to Glasgow for another year of the best trad music the country has to offer.
On the final day of the festival, we asked Michael for his favourite three places to visit in Scotland.
Isle of Skye
Skye is a magical place, and is close to my heart as I run Skye Live there every year – every time I cross the bridge I feel a sense of relaxation wash over me. I’m constantly in awe of it’s beauty, and the energy that creates amongst the people there.
Mount Stuart House & Gardens
I grew up on the Isle of Bute just a few miles from Mount Stuart House & Gardens. It’s an incredible building with an amazing history (the first building in Scotland to have electricity), and the gardens are gorgeous. It feels like an oasis on the island and I loved exploring it’s grounds when I was younger.
Barrowland Ballroom
An iconic venue, and home of some of my favourite musical memories – I’ve witnessed so many incredible performances there. Nothing beats the Barrowlands – a truly magical place!
