Lisa Lawson is founder of Dear Green Coffee Roasters and organiser of Glasgow Coffee Festival, which will take place at The Briggait on April 26 and 27.
Glasgow Coffee Festival was founded in 2014 with a mission to bring people together over great coffee, to celebrate Scotland’s coffee scene, and spark better conversations about how it’s sourced, served, and shared. More than a decade on, it’s one of the UK’s leading specialty coffee events – and it’s still pushing boundaries.
To celebrate this year’s festival, we asked Lisa for a few of her favourite spots to enjoy a coffee.
Archive Coffee, Orkney
A hidden gem just off the main street in Kirkwall, purveyors of great coffee (Dear Green) and an eclectic menu to suit all visitors. Contemporary and timeless design adds to the experience before making your way around the many neolithic sites on the island.
Glen Lyon Coffee Roasters, Aberfeldy
Escape to the Highlands with a road trip to Aberfeldy, where a perfectly sourced, roasted, and brewed coffee can be enjoyed at Glen Lyon Coffee Roasters. Pay them a visit either before or after you’ve been down the slide at the nearby Taymouth Marina Spa on Loch Tay.
Steampunk Coffee Roasters, North Berwick
Who doesn’t love a stroll along the beach? This east coast town has it all, including scenic coastal views, art exhibitions, and a roastery cafe to people watch in whilst sipping on your flat white at Steampunk Coffee Roasters.
