Bateman Solms is an American living in Edinburgh, sharing post-grad life through lifestyle, fitness, fashion, and travel content.
We asked her to share the three top spots she has discovered while living in Scotland so far.
Balcarres Estate
This gorgeous country estate feels like a slice of heaven. Each of the four lodges on the property has been restored with immaculate care and detail, and you can truly feel the touch of this being a family run business. With large copper soaking tubs and miles of gorgeous trails to explore, it is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
The Dunvegan
Renowned as the classic golfers’ pub in St Andrews, a visit to the Dunny never fails to end in a raucous evening full of stories, singing, and new friends. The bartenders are experts in everything St Andrews and can always provide a recommendation or helpful tip about anything and everything going on in town.
Crail
Halfway up the coast of Fife, Crail is the most wonderful town for a seaside wander on a sunny day. Take a stroll along the seaside paths, pop into Crail Pottery shop, and finish off with a lunch at the Harbour Gallery with stunning views over the sea.
