CHRIS CADDEN has been handed his first Scotland call-up.

The Motherwell midfielder joins Hearts defender John Souttar and Celtic’s Lewis Morgan in making the step up from the under-21 squad ahead of the end-of-season friendlies.

Alex McLeish will take his squad to Peru on May 29 and then Mexico on June 2.

21-year-old Cadden will be hoping to head off on the trip on a high, with the Steelmen taking on Celtic in Saturday’s Scottish Cup final.

Meanwhile, Ryan Fraser, Matt Ritchie and Barry Douglas have all withdrawn from the Scotland squad due to injury.

And Kilmarnock’s Stephen O’Donnell was added on Tuesday.
