Judy Murray: It was an honour to be part of Edith Bowman’s For the Love of Scotland show

On Wednesday night, I had the chance to take part in Edith Bowman’s live-streamed event For the Love of Scotland, set up to raise urgent funds for the Masks for Scotland appeal.

Some of the other Scots who took part included Alan Cumming, Martin Compston, Annie Lennox and Ian Rankin, to name but a few, so I was thrilled to be asked to join the fun.

The show was a three-hour mix of chats and live singing, comedy turns and even a bedtime story from Peter Mullen.

I showed viewers how they could develop physical skills for tennis by playing fun games at home. You can substitute a ball for a rolled-up pair of socks or a bat for a paper plate, and your net could be the sofa or a piece of string between two chairs.

There are so many charities really struggling right now, so to be part of something that helped raise an incredible £43,000 in donations for frontline NHS staff was a real honour.

Star in his jim-jams was a hoot

Did any of you see actor Martin Clunes’ appearance on Good Morning Britain this week?

The Doc Martin star was chatting to Piers Morgan about the world’s largest virtual tea party, which is being held to raise money for Guide Dogs UK, but rather than dress up for the occasion he decided to stay in his pyjamas.

It was quite a clever move really – just look at how many people have talked about his stripy PJs! It has given us all a much-needed giggle, and raised more awareness of his charity than if he was wearing a shirt and tie.

But I did wonder if they were his real jammies? I’m sure I could see creases where the trousers had come out the packet!
