Friday school closures: South Ayrshire's to reopen to staff and pupils, but many will remain shut for a third day

SOUTH Ayrshire is set to reopen its schools tomorrow.

It is one of the only areas to do so, with most councils so far reporting that pupils will have an unplanned long weekend.

Edinburgh and Glasgow City Council schools will remain closed to staff and pupils, along with a number of other areas.
