RANGERS could be set to use the cash secured from selling Martyn Waghorn to bolster their attacking options.

The Sun reports that Pedro Caixinha hopes to use the money to land Aberdeen’s Kenny McLean and Hearts star Jamie Walker.

Both players have been subject to interest from Ibrox this summer, with the Jambos knocking back several bids for wantaway winger Walker.

Patrick Roberts is set to ask Manchester City to let him return to Celtic, according to the Scottish Sun.

The winger became a fan favourite during his loan spell at the Hoops, but City would prefer to send him out to another club for more experience.

Edgar Davids is the latest name to be linked with the vacant manager’s post at Hearts.

The Dutch legend’s only management experience was at Barnet in England’s League Two but is desperate for another crack in the UK.

Manchester United are interested in signing Tottenham defender Danny Rose, according to the Mirror.

United have reportedly turned their attention to signing the England international, despite the 27-year-old left-back currently being sidelined with a knee problem.

 


Chelsea’s own pursuit of a left-sided defender has hit a major roadblock, with the Independent claiming Juventus have ruled out any hope of the Premier League champions signing Alex Sandro this summer.

But Antonio Conte could still be close to boosting his back line.

The Telegraph writes the Blues are hoping to sign Paris St Germain right-back Serge Aurier, while they are looking to join the race for wantaway Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk.

Van Dijk has handed in a transfer request at St Mary’s – and the south-coast club are already lining up a replacement.


The Saints are hoping to sign Middlesbrough defender Ben Gibson in a £30million deal, according to the Sun.


Stoke hope to sign last season’s loanee Bruno Martins Indi, reports the Stoke Sentinel, while L’equipe claims Potters midfielder Giannelli Imbula is closing in on a move to Monaco.
