The TRNSMT music festival will reveal the first acts in this year’s line-up on Monday – but with a twist.

Organisers will broadcast the eagerly anticipated announcement live on Facebook, in the form of a quiz with viewers given clues to guess the acts playing.

They can then share their answers on Twitter, with posts including the hashtag #TRNSMT2019 entered into a draw to win a pair of VIP passes for the festival.

Geoff Ellis, TRNSMT festival director, said: “TRNSMT has had an amazing audience who have played a huge part in making the festival one of the most popular events on the music calendar in just two years.

“That’s why we’ve decided to place the line-up announcement into their hands for the first time. We can’t wait for them to reveal the first set of artists.”

The event returns to Glasgow Green from July 12 – 14, this time just running over one weekend.

It’s the third year the festival has taken place in Glasgow city centre, with last year seeing the likes of The Killers, Queen + Adam Lambert and Arctic Monkeys play to packed crowds in glorious sunshine.

The first festival in 2017 was headlined by Radiohead, Kasabian and Biffy Clyro.
