SCOTS are being asked to vote for their favourite live act at The SSE Hydro in 2018.

The SSE Live Awards open this afternoon to crown the best acts to perform at the Glasgow venue, as well as London’s Wembley Arena.

Andy Murray has been the ace in Scotland for the past two years, and this year sees a host of top acts vying for the top spot.

The likes of Britney Spears, Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Kevin Bridges and Paul McCartney have all performed in 2018 at the arena, which celebrated its fifth birthday in October.

The year has also seen Disney on Ice, Premier League Darts, WWE Live and Game of Thrones – The Live Concert Experience wow crowds.

Fans can vote for their favourite act that performed at the venue in 2018 by visiting www.ssereward.com, which also gives them a chance of winning tickets and VIP experiences at The SSE Hydro in 2019.

The act who receives the most votes from their fans in each category will be announced as the SSE Live Awards winners in February 2019.

Colin Banks, Head of Sponsorship & Reward at SSE, said: “We’re really excited to be bringing the SSE Live Awards back for its fourth year after over a million votes were cast for 2017.

“What makes these awards so special is the fact that they are the fans’ awards – it is their choice who wins and that makes it really special for the acts who are honoured with the title.”
