Bands play charity music night to support grandmother who lost limbs to sepsis

MUSIC events are being held to help raise funds for a grandmother who lost her limbs as a result of sepsis.

Marguerite Henderson from Crosshill, Fife, contracted the infection from a tiny paper cut in February and had to be placed in an induced coma.

The 55-year-old managed to pull through but had to have her hands and feet amputated.

Fundraising efforts are under way to buy items such as an electric wheelchair and even a bionic hand to help her adapt to everyday life.

The first Music for Marguerite gig will take place at the Glen Pavilion in Dunfermline on Friday June 15 and a second event will be held at music venue PJ Molloys on September 1.
