2019 Women’s World Cup draw: Scotland will face England in group stages

SCOTLAND have been drawn with England in the group stages of the 2019 Women’s World Cup.

The national side will face the Auld Enemy in their opening match in Group D at the tournament, which takes place in France in June.

The match is scheduled for June 9 in Nice.

Also in the group will be tough clashes with Japan and Argentina.

Scotland finished top of their qualifying group earlier this year, securing their first ever World Cup place with a win over Albania in September.

Three-time winners the United States are the reigning world champions.

Group B: Germany, Spain, China, South Africa

Group C: Australia, Brazil, Italy, Jamaica

Group D: England, Japan, Scotland, Argentina

Group E: Canada, Netherlands, New Zealand, Cameroon
