The secrets to The Broons’ history will be revealed in a special Family Tree supplement.

The stunning story behind The Broons’ family tree is to be revealed in this weekend’s Sunday Post.

We’re giving away a fantastic 32-page album called Wha Dae Ye Think Ye Are? The Broons Family Tree The Early Years. And the following week you’ll find part two another 32-page album, Mair Early Years, free in your favourite Sunday newspaper.

Wha Dae Ye Think Ye Are is full of tales passed down to Granpaw Broon by his Granny. The stories she told around the fireside had been handed down the generations since the dawn of the Broons.

Worried that nobody tells fireside tales in this modern, digital age, Grandpaw had Horace record them all in this special double-album. It might be that one or two of the stories have grown arms and legs over the years but they’re packed full of the fun and laughs you expect from The Broons.

There’s the viking, Eric the Broon, the heroic King Robert the Broon and Roman wall-builder Hentonine. And you’ve heard of Scott of the Antarctic, but what about Broon of the Baltic?

Maw says: “Oor Broons clan has a long and varied history and we modern-day members o’ the family are proud of what oor ancestors got up tae except for ane or twa black sheep!

“Ever since the dawn o’ the year dot there’s been a Broon involved somewhere! At least, that’s whit Granpaw has been tellin’ us.
