Quick tomato tarts

Ingredients

1 pack ready-made puff pastry
8 cheese slices
4 beef tomatoes or large Extra Special Vine Ripened Tomatoes, halved
1 egg, beaten

Preheat oven to 190C, 375F or gas mark 5. 

Roll out pastry and cut 8 circles, approx. 3 cm (1 in) wider than tomato halves. Place on a baking sheet. Cut 8 cheese circles, the same size as tomato halves, and place on pastry discs. Place a tomato half, cut side uppermost, on top of each cheese circle. Brush pastry border with egg and bake for 20 minutes.
