| Fudgy chocolate croissant pudding |
Ingredients:
4 pains au chocolat or chocolate croissants
100 g (4 oz) plain chocolate
300 ml (1 fl oz) milk
568 ml carton double cream
1 pinch freshly grated nutmeg
4 large egg yolks
170 g tube Carnation Condensed Milk
Icing sugar
Preheat oven to 180C, 350F or gas mark 4. Grease a large ovenproof pudding dish.
Cut each croissant into three and arrange in dish. Melt chocolate with milk, cream and nutmeg. Whisk egg yolks and condensed milk together then beat in melted chocolate mix and pour over croissants. Press down well. Leave pudding to stand for one hour. Place pudding dish in a deep roasting tin and fill tin with enough boiling water to come two thirds up sides of dish. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until just set. Dust with icing sugar.
