How to explore Glasgow and Edinburgh from above in 3D using Google Maps

GOOGLE’S Street View is great for taking a look around the world at ground level from the comfort of your own home.

There are also many destinations you can view from above in full 3D – now including Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The 3D areas cover large parts of the cities.

How to access it…

If it’s a map shown when you arrive on the site, click on the Earth option in the bottom left corner.

This will switch it into a satellite picture.

Then just select the 3D option and get exploring!

Click on the 3D button and then use Control + Scroll to explore (Google)

You can move the map around by clicking and dragging. Use the scroll on the mouse to zoom in and out.

To tilt the map, hold down Control while dragging.
