Cash on the fly . . .
THE SCOTTISH Association of Stillwater fisheries will be reeling in the cash for our CHAS campaign over the next few months, writes Paul Hastie.
Seventeen fisheries from all over Scotland will be taking part in Scotland’s biggest fishing fund-raiser.
Fly-fishing competitions will be held around the country from May to October. Entry costs just £5, plus all the sponsorship you can muster.
It’s not just Robin House that will benefit — there are some spectacular prizes on offer for the top anglers at each event, courtesy of the Glasgow Angling Centre and Bowmore Distillers.
The biggest catch of the day will win a £150 Scierra Fly Rod. There is more Scierra fishing equipment on offer for second place and the angler who raises the most sponsorship for CHAS. The heaviest fish will earn a bottle of Bowmore Old Islay Malt Whisky.
