Sorry, but we’ve no regrets Mr Chancellor!
Winton Primary School in Ardrossan, Ayrshire, is the latest to be revealed as having removed significant amounts of copper coins from general circulation. The 220 pupils raised a very impressive £493.02.
Deputy Head Teacher, Kathleen Cairns said, “We are delighted with our collection. The children have been so enthusiastic and dedicated to gathering spare change.
“We started our fund-raising in September and it has been gradually building up.
“All of us are proud to support CHAS and glad to show we care.”
Two star fund-raising pupils, Matthew Scott and Sarah Paton, both from P6, were chosen to help hand over the huge cheque to Roslyn Neely from CHAS as they have collected the most money for our appeal.
The Winton PS staff and pupils are very proud of their school motto “Endeavour” and they certainly endeavoured to do their very best for our appeal. |
