were simply the best

KILSYTH RANGERS Football Club proved they were simply the best
when they raised £1000 for our
hospice appeal after hosting a sportsmen’s dinner and charity
evening.
The club organised a night of entertainment and good food attended by a crowd of 370, who were engrossed by the speakers — Dunfermline FC club secretary Jim Leishman, former athlete George McNeill and the Only An Excuse team, Phil Differ and Jonathan Watson.
One of the main organisers was Kilsyth Rangers secretary, Russell McKay, who said the event was so successful that preparation for next year’s dinner is already well under way.
“This is the second time we’ve donated money to the CHAS appeal and everyone involved with the night had a great time. Everyone is looking forward to next year — that shows how successful the event was. And since the dinner took place, the team has also managed to gain promotion so it’s been a successful period.”
As well as the speeches, there was a raffle with the top prize of £500 of holiday vouchers won by Kilsyth man Tom Finnie. |
