THE YOUNGSTERS of Kids Play Childcare in Kirkintilloch toddled their way to a great total of £1069 with a walk for our campaignl.
Almost 150 children, from as young as six weeks right up to school age, collected sponsorship from friends and family before trekking half-a-mile around the industrial estate where they’re based.

Kids Play Childcare arrange charity events every year and money raised is usually split between a charity and nursery funds. But this year staff were determined to raise cash for a second children’s hospice and donated all the sponsor money to our campaign.
Charmaine Ness, assistant manager of the nursery, said, “When we voted for a charity to receive the money, CHAS was the clear winner. One of the members of staff had heard a speech given by a Rachel House worker and she was touched.
“When everyone else at the nursery heard what good work Rachel House does, and of The Sunday Post’s efforts to help build a second hospice, we knew we had to give the money to the campaign.”
