MURDOCH, and three other members of the Loch Lomond Craft Association, are putting some of their paintings up for sale in
Corrie’s, a restaurant in Balloch on Friday, between 7 and 9 pm. They’ve been given the restaurant free of charge and plan to charge a £2 entrance fee, which will also get people a glass of wine and a piece of shortbread. Hoping to sell 100 tickets, they will also donate cash raised from any of their works sold on the night.

We are pleased
to announce that almost
£120,000
has been raised so far by
The Sunday Post Hospice Challenge
We are hugely proud that our caring readers have responded so very generously.
But we are hoping for more yet. The cost of building and running a new children’s hospice on the banks of Loch Lomond will be £10 million.
If you are holding a fund-raising event for the appeal, we’d like to hear from you. We might even feature your event in the paper.
Contact us on 0141 332 9933 during office hours, or e-mail us at:
hospice@sundaypost.com
Cheques should be made payable to Sunday Post CHAS Appeal and sent to The Sunday Post, c/o CHAS, 72 Waterloo Street, Glasgow, G2 7DA. |

ON READING about our appeal, June Mann, who runs a cafe in Portnalong, Skye, decided to raise some cash with a fish supper night on Saturday. There will be a set price of £5, or £2.50 for children, regardless of whether the supper is eaten in or taken out. The cafe seats 30, but June would like to think she might serve 100 suppers that night, raising up to £500. |
