£70,000 and climbing

THE MONEY is rolling in with every post. Everything from a pound or two up to cheques for thousands. The grand total so far is £70,000.
Last weekend Mrs Hannah McMillan from Paisley celebrated her 80th birthday. Instead of presents, she asked her family to donate money to our appeal.
Her very special birthday present raised £300 towards the new hospice at Loch Lomond. Thanks Mrs H — and Happy Birthday!
Mrs Pink, from Tayport, saved up her change and handed in £23.
Ardoran Marine, near Oban, have boats on mooring during the summer and then they’re stored ashore for the winter months.
Anne Robertson from the family-run business tells us they’re donating £10 from each boat’s winter storage bill — and that’s another £300.
The congregation of Knox’s United Free Church in Montrose is putting on an exhibition this weekend (today and tomorrow) to raise money for our appeal.
Faith’s Journey, designed by church member Helen Watt shows various stages of life, from birth to death expressed through crafts and people’s personal stories.
The Occupational Therapy Unit in Craigmill Skill Centre raised £150 for CHAS at the Dundee Flower Show recently.
Based in Dundee’s Strathmartine Hospital, the unit built a wooden wishing well and visitors to the show dropped in their coins.
