Help us to help them

COMBINE four movie stars, lots of Irish spirit and sweet soul music and you’re left with a heartstoppin’ footstompin’ live experience — all for our appeal.
And you can be part of it next Sunday when the stars from the movie The Commitments and their band perform in Aberdeen.
The nine-piece band will belt out classics from their multi-million selling album, including Mustang Sally, Take Me To The River and In The Midnight Hour.
Organiser Mark Lundquist says the night will be just as scintillating as the 1991 blockbuster film, which has been seen by an estimated one billion people.
He enthused, “The band have played live in front of 2.5 million people and done 900 shows since forming in 1993 and are looking forward to playing in Scotland, where the audiences are always bouncing.
“I think the fact that the concert is in aid of such a worthy appeal should make the night even more electrifying — we can’t wait, it’ll be dynamite.”
Tickets are still available for the gig at the The Music Hall, Aberdeen, on Sunday, November 17, priced £12 and £14. For more information, contact the box office on 01224 641122.
All profits, after deduction of expenses, go to our appeal.
