SCOTS
FILM star Ewan McGregor pops into Rachel House so often he’s known
to the children as Uncle Ewan. Last
week he gave a huge boost to the Sunday Post School's Hospice
Challenge at the Scottish launch of his new film Moulin Rouge. The
premiere at the Odeon Cinema in Glasgow was in aid of the
Children’s Hospice Association Scotland.
In an impassioned speech in front of a celebrity-studded audience,
Ewan praised our efforts and urged his audience to encourage any
youngsters they knew to join The Sunday Post School’s Hospice
Challenge fund-raising campaign. “If
every school pupil in Scotland raises just £1, that would mean £250,000
towards the cost of the new hospice,” Ewan said. “If you have
children at school, or you know children who go to school, urge them
to join in.”
